My journey with CrossFit started about 4 years ago when I was at a point in my life where I was definitely out of shape, and far away from healthy. I was focused pretty much anything other than fitness. After about 6 months of trying to convince me that I should give CrossFit a try my brother Shon finally succeeded at getting me into the local box. From that moment on I was hooked!! After my first WOD I knew that this is where I wanted to be and opening my own affiliate was my new dream. I started studying everything I could get my hands on about CrossFit and Weightlifting, received my CFL1 and USA Weightlifting Sports Performance certifications, opened EMCF - and the rest is history. 

CrossFit is limitless, and if you are willing to put in the work, so are the results. We all come from different walks of life and have different beliefs, but inside the walls of Empire Mine CrossFit we are family. We don't judge, we encourage. We don't try to be better than anyone, just try to be better versions of ourselves. We are all on the journey together and my number one goal is to give every single person who walks through our doors the same exact feeling I had the first time I experienced a CrossFit community. I hope to sweat alongside you, and see you in a class soon.

 CrossFit only started 1 year ago for me and I fell in love with it from the very beginning! I was in college at the time and really struggled with keeping up with a healthy lifestyle and taking care of my body with the stress of school and life suddenly hitting me in the face (like most college kids lol). I quickly started to gain weight, which led to days of zero energy, self guilt, lack of confidence, and feeling so far from where I wanted my health to be. A good friend of mine told me about CrossFit and wanted me to attend a class with her. I felt so hesitant to put myself in a place where I could fail and let myself down again (especially in front of a group of strangers!), BUT was proven completely wrong by the amazing community, encouraging coaches, and feeling of accomplishment I had after completing the WOD. Let’s just say that I haven’t stopped since! I’ve lost an accumulated 30lbs since the beginning of  my journey and feel like an all around new and improved person. CrossFit doesn’t have to be an intimidating thing where the end goal is just to get jacked fast (or compete in the CrossFit Games); It’s a lifestyle and a piece of the puzzle in leading to a long and happy life where your health is at the top of your “to do” list. Currently, I am an Exercise Science major at ORU and have obtained my CrossFit Level 1 Certification and plan on getting my Level 2 in the future!
